KOTA BARU: The Kelantan Road Transport Department (JPJ) will conduct random checks on participants of the RXZ Forever Legend event, which will take place on Feb 6 and 7, at the Rural Transformation Centre (RTC) in Tunjong here.

Its director, Mohd Misuari Abdullah (pic) said, on Monday (Jan 19), that the checks will focus on helmet usage, motorcycle modifications, and the noise level of exhaust systems.

"For the participants of the RXZ Forever Legend, we will conduct random inspections, especially focusing on three aspects: helmets, motorcycle modifications and exhaust noise levels," he told reporters at the self-improvement, discipline, and professionalism course for Queen Ekspress staff and the launching ceremony of the Queen Ekspress song here.

Elaborating further, Mohd Misuari said the JPJ has an intelligence team and a monitoring team to oversee the RXZ Forever Legend event throughout its two days.

"We will conduct this monitoring, including on village roads. We will welcome them (participants) if they use their discretion by not cutting in, not racing, and obeying all the laws.

"In terms of assigning tasks to members, we haven't decided yet, considering that this programme, organised by a non-governmental organisation, has received a permit from the police and support from the state government. However, if assistance is needed, we will help," he said.

Meanwhile, Mohd Misuari said the seatbelt compliance rate among express bus passengers in Kelantan has reached 100% since November last year. - Bernama
