Mother-daughter killed in motorcycle-car collision near Seremban


SEREMBAN: A 40-year-old woman and her 14-year-old daughter were killed after their motorcycle was involved in an accident with a car at km10 of the Seremban-Port Dickson Highway.

District OCPD Supt Muhd Amrul Yazid Anuar said the victims were killed on the spot in the 12.15am crash early today (Jan 17).

"The woman was on a motorcycle with her daughter and a 12-year-old son and they were heading towards Seremban.

"Based on preliminary probe, they were on the emergency lane but suddenly moved to the right and was hit by a car from behind," he said in a statement.

Supt Muhd Amrul said the car was driven by a 46-year-old man who was travelling with his wife.

He said the boy suffered serious injuries and was rushed to the Tuanku Ja'afar Hospital for treatment.

He urged eyewitnesses to contact investigating officer Insp Nor Fadzilah Mohd Zainudin at 0194611794 or the nearest police station to assist in investigations.

The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
