KUALA LUMPUR: DAP secretary-general Anthony Loke is a good leader, says an Umno Youth division leader who spoke of good cooperation between the two parties.
When debating the Umno Youth chief's policy speech, Port Dickson Umno Youth chief Khairul Jazimin Jamal Abdul Nasir said he has no issues with the Seremban MP.
"In Negri Sembilan, we have no issues with DAP leaders. This is because Loke is a good leader, unlike most in the party.
"Others have told me that whenever they sought help from Loke, there are no issues with him. No need for official documents – he will assist," he said at the Umno Youth meeting on Thursday (Jan 15).
Khairul Jazimin, however, said this does not mean that Umno is a DAP lackey.
"We are not stooges to any party, especially DAP. When a party touches on the rights of the Malays, the royal institutions, we will fight and uphold it," he added.
