Petronas Dagangan confirms operational issue at Samarahan Expressway station

KUCHING: Petronas Dagangan Berhad (PDB) has confirmed that several vehicles were affected following an operational issue at the Petronas Samarahan Expressway station here after refuelling at the station.

In a statement on Thursday (Dec 25), PDB said the station was temporarily closed on Wednesday (Dec 24) to allow for investigations to be carried out and subsequently resumed operations on the same day.

“PDB wishes to assure our customers that all other Petronas stations continue to operate as usual and are not impacted.

“PDB takes this matter seriously and sincerely apologises to all customers for any inconvenience caused,” it said.

According to the statement, the company is currently in contact with customers impacted by the incident and has taken the required steps to resolve the matter promptly.

Customers requiring immediate assistance may contact Petronas’ customer care service, Mesralink, at 1-300-88-8181.

The incident earlier went viral on social media after several cars and motorcycles were reported to have stalled after refuelling at the station, believed to be linked to a fuel contamination issue. – Bernama
