College celebrates season with unity, respect

MELAKA: Christmas cheer fills the air at the Tun Fatimah Form Six College in Durian Daun here.

The college’s parent-teacher association chairman, Mak Chee Kin, said the public college is believed to be the first educational institution in the state to organise a Yuletide celebration.

“This Christmas event marks the second year our college has celebrated the season with festive decorations and singing of carols, enjoyed by all those present,” he said in a speech yesterday.

Mak said the celebration was not merely a festive gathering but also an opportunity to strengthen unity and mutual respect among students from diverse backgrounds.

“It’s indeed a joy to see students coming together to celebrate Christmas, a season filled with happiness and goodwill.

“Yuletide reminds us to appreciate one another and to cherish the friendships and memories we have built throughout the year,” he added.

Mak also reminded students to uphold positive values and be responsible, particularly in their use of social media.

“Practise respect and understanding towards one another,” he added.

“We will continue to celebrate all major festivals as part of nurturing unity, mutual respect and harmony among our students.”
