PETALING JAYA: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has called on newly appointed deputy ministers to strengthen cooperation across government sectors and improve communication with the public following the recent Cabinet reshuffle aimed at boosting policy delivery.

Anwar said he conveyed the message during a meeting with the new deputy ministers, stressing the need to maintain good working relations not only within ministries and government agencies, but also with all segments of society.

“The trust and responsibility entrusted to them must be carried out to the best of their ability so that government policies and initiatives can be implemented effectively and deliver tangible benefits to the people,” he said in a Facebook post yesterday.

Anwar also highlighted the importance of continuously strengthening communication, noting that government information must be conveyed clearly and accurately.

He said it must reach all levels of society in line with the Madani government’s principles of inclusiveness and accountability.

On Tuesday, Anwar unveiled a refreshed Cabinet line-up, involving changes to several key ministerial and deputy ministerial posts.

The reshuffle was widely seen as an effort to inject renewed momentum into the administration, enhance coordination within the government and improve execution of policies amid ongoing economic and cost-of-living concerns.
