Zaliha accepts PM’s decision carefully considered


PETALING JAYA: Datuk Seri Dr Zaliha Mustafa (pic), who has been dropped from the Cabinet, believes that every decision made by the Prime Minister was taken with careful consideration and grounded in the nation’s best interests.

“This is aimed at ensuring that the Madani government remains stable, effective and focused on the reform agenda that has been outlined,” she said in a statement.

Dr Zaliha’s portfolio as Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department in charge of the Federal Territories was taken over by Hannah Yeoh.

Also dropped from the Cabinet line-up were Datuk Dr Mohd Na’im Mokhtar, who served as Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs), and former Deputy National Unity Minister K. Saraswathy.

Dr Zaliha said during the nearly two years she was minister, various long-standing legacy issues were addressed progressively.
