New Deputy Health Minister pledges to fulfil role to the best of abilities

PETALING JAYA: Newly-appointed Deputy Health Minister Datuk Hanifah Hajar Taib has pledged to fulfil her new role to the best of her abilities.

She expressed commitment in carrying out her tasks in a fair, sustainable and comprehensive manner, in line with the Madani administration’s aspirations.

Hanifah, who is also Mukah MP, stressed that her constituents will continue being a priority.

“Thank you for the appreciation and trust from the leadership towards me,” Hanifah said in a statement uploaded to her Facebook page on Tuesday (Dec 16).

Hanifah replaces Datuk Lukanisman Awang Sauni as Deputy Health Minister.

Lukanisman, meanwhile, was appointed as Deputy Foreign minister.

They were among the names revealed in the latest Cabinet line-up announced by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim earlier Tuesday.

Among those involved in the reshuffle were Datuk Seri Johari Abdul Ghani (Investment, Trade and Industry Minister), Datuk Seri R. Ramanan (Human Resources Minister) and Hannah Yeoh (Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Federal Territories)).
