Over 26,000 students join safe Internet campaign


MELAKA: The southern region Safe Internet Campaign 2025 has successfully empowered more than 26,000 students through various programmes, says the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC).

In a statement, MCMC said that as of Nov 30, the campaign had been implemented in 1,478 educational institutions in Johor, Melaka and Negri Sembilan, involving 26,617 students.

MCMC also highlighted several key activities during the campaign held at the Multimedia University campus here yesterday, Bernama reported.

This includes a forum, a presentation of modules for students aged 10 to 12, an interactive zone and exhibition booths.

The programme was launched by Communications Ministry ­deputy secretary-general (Telecommunication Infra- structure) Mano Verabathran, who represented Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil.

Also present was Melaka science, technology, innovation and digital communications committee chairman Datuk Fairul Nizam Roslan.
