A SEVEN-year-old boy had his index finger bitten by a python while he was sleeping in his room, Kosmo! Online reported.
He awoke after feeling a sharp pain in his finger around 3am.
Kota Baru Civil Defence Force operations chief Norlinawati Sawaludin said officers found the snake next to a wardrobe in the room, not far from where the child had been sleeping.
She said the team took about five minutes to capture the python, which measured roughly 1m.
The snake was later taken to the force’s control centre in Tunjong for further action.

Trip coordinator Azmil Azif said that all costs for the three-day trip were covered by the pupils’ performance earnings and additional sponsorships.
