Four secondary school students charged with sexual assault of minor


PARIT: Four secondary school students have been slapped with multiple charges at the Magistrate's Court here for sexually assaulting a 14-year-old at a school hostel dormitory in Kampung Gajah.

The four accused, all aged 16, pleaded not guilty after the charges under 377B of the Penal Code, together with Section 34 of the same Code, were read before magistrate Nurul Izalina Rajaai on Wednesday (Dec 10).

One of the accused was slapped with six charges, which included two joint charges with the three others.

The accused were said to have committed the offence between Oct 30 and Nov 30.

For the accused with six charges, Nurul Izalina set bail at RM5,500, while the three remaining accused were ordered to each pay RM2,000 in bail.

She also set Feb 10 for mention, while waiting for a social report from the Social Welfare Department.

Deputy Public Prosecutor Wan Mohd Ameerul Nazhif Wan Zulfikri prosecuted while the accused were not represented.
