Sg Petani cops detain man who threatened neighbour with gun


SUNGAI PETANI: Police have arrested a man in his 30s who allegedly threatened an elderly woman, his neighbour, with a firearm in a housing estate in Bandar Laguna Merbok near here.

Kuala Muda OCPD Asst Comm Hanyan Ramlan said they received a report about the incident at 8.45am on Sunday (Dec 7) and arrived at the scene at 9.20am.

"We conducted a raid and investigation at the location, seized the weapons and arrested the suspect in his 30s," he said, adding they were still conducting an investigation to determine who owned the gun and if they had a licence for it. – Bernama
