A STALL owner was able to go to Mecca, thanks to a university student, Harian Metro reported.
Azim Indra, 19, stopped by the stall at Pasir Tumboh in Kota Baru, owned by a woman named Umi. The daily said the third-semester accounting student at Universiti Teknologi Mara told her he was stressed because of upcoming assignments.
Umi offered her prayers so that he could overcome his problems.
Touched by her gesture, Azim wanted to repay her kindness. He had set aside some money from a business he runs, and wanted to offer Umi to perform the umrah in Mecca.
He decided to surprise her by going to her house to inform her.
“She was overjoyed and prayed for my well-being when we met again,” he said.
Azim said Umi went to Mecca on Nov 13 and returned home on Nov 26.
