Thunderstorms forecast across Sabah on polling day


KOTA KINABALU: The weather in most areas of Sabah on Saturday (Nov 29), polling day for the 17th Sabah State Election, is forecast to be cloudy with thunderstorms.

According to the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia), rain was expected in several locations during the morning.

Thunderstorms were forecast in most inland areas in the afternoon, while rain was expected in several locations at night.

The maximum temperature throughout the day was expected to be 31 degrees Celsius, with a minimum of 21 degrees Celsius.

A total of 1.76 million voters would cast their ballots in the 17th Sabah State Election on Saturday, which was contesting 73 seats.
