The GRS chairman said Sabah’s future lies in cooperation between the coalition and the federal government.
“Why must we tussle with the federal government? While we continue looking after Sabah, we also have to think about the bigger picture,” he said during an event here on Thursday (Nov 27).
GRS, an electoral pact with Pakatan, has come under fire for its cooperation.
State Opposition leader Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal also questioned GRS’ cooperation with Pakatan.
Mohd Shafie said GRS should not claim it is protecting Sabah if it cooperates with non-Sabah based parties.
In his speech, Hajiji said various infrastructure issues faced by Sabah were inherited from before the GRS administration.
“How can they say we failed to resolve it if it was already present since before,” said Hajiji.
