KUALA LUMPUR: Hwa Tai Industries Bhd
has appointed Yee Lee Trading Co Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Yee Lee Corporation Bhd, as its sub-distributor for Sabah and Labuan.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Hwa Tai said the appointment was made through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Hwa Tai Wholesale Sdn Bhd, to distribute products under its HWA TAI and PESTA brands manufactured at its Batu Pahat plant in Johor.
The appointment took effect on Sept 1, 2026, with the agreement signed on Oct 30.
Yee Lee Trading operates 16 branches across Peninsular and East Malaysia, supported by warehousing and distribution facilities and a network of more than 30,000 retail outlets.
Hwa Tai said the distribution network would help expand its market reach, drive sales growth and broaden its customer base in Sabah and Labuan.
