Those found guilty of corruption must face the music, says PM

KOTA KINABALU: If you are found to be guilty of corruption, you must accept the consequences of your actions, says Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

The Prime Minister said this message is always stressed to his staff.

“I told my staff – if you are found guilty, you must face the music. Full investigations and bring them (the offenders) to court.

“For this country to succeed, we must start with good governance,” he said during a programme with youths in Inanam on Thursday (Nov 27).

He further stressed the value of education and reminded youths to always practice human values.

Anwar is currently in Sabah, where he held a programme in Tuaran earlier on Thursday before he left for Bandau, Kota Marudu.

He is scheduled to have two programmes in Kota Kinabalu tonight, one with the Chinese community, followed by a mega-ceramah.
