Sabah polls: It was just a fever, I'm back on campaign trail, says Bung

KOTA KINABALU: It was just a fever and I am back campaigning, says Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin.

The Sabah Barisan Nasional chief, who is contesting the Lamag seat, said he is in good spirits and working hard on the campaign trail.

“I’m fine and have recovered. It was just a fever. I have many programmes lined up,” he said when contacted on Monday (Nov 24).

He also said he is preparing for early voting scheduled for Tuesday (Nov 25) and ready to campaign and help Barisan’s candidates around the state.

Bung also told early voters to use this opportunity to vote as it only comes once every five years.

He added that Barisan’s manifesto is focused on rejuvenating and uplifting Sabah.

Sabah Umno information chief Datuk Suhaimi Nasir had said that Bung Moktar was suffering from a common infection and flu.

"This has not affected the ongoing campaigning.

“However, the whole state BN machinery and I are praying that he will recover in the next day or two, and continue to work towards the victory of BN candidates,” Suhaimi said, when asked about Bung Moktar’s health after he was reported to have fallen ill on nomination day on Nov 15.
