Johor water operator Ranhill SAJ CEO Anuar Abdul Ghani passes away at 62


JOHOR BARU: Ranhill SAJ Sdn Bhd chief executive officer Anuar Abdul Ghani has passed away after suffering a heart attack.

Its corporate communications head Ahmad 'Asri Khalbi said Anuar passed away at KPJ Abdul Samad Specialist Hospital here on Monday (Nov 24) evening.

"He will be laid to rest at the Kampung Makam Dagang muslim cemetery in Kota Tinggi tomorrow morning.

"The late Anuar, 62, is survived by his wife and three children," he said in a statement.

He noted that Anuar had nearly four decades of experience in the treated water industry.

"He was a prominent figure in the sector at both the national and international levels.

"Under his leadership, Ranhill SAJ achieved numerous significant milestones, including improved operational efficiency, technological reform initiatives and recording the lowest non-revenue water rate in the country," he added.
