Sabah polls: Barisan candidate aids crash victim in Silam

KOTA KINABALU: The caring action of Silam’s Barisan Nasional candidate Sharif Musa Sharif Mabul won praise from netizens after he assisted an accident victim on Sunday (Nov 16) morning.

Sharif was on his way from home to a campaign event when he saw a collision involving a motorcyclist and a lorry along the Lahad Datu–Tawau road.

He rushed to help along with other passers-by, moving the motorcycle away from the victim while others called for assistance.

It is learnt the victim sustained serious injuries and is receiving treatment at the Lahad Datu Hospital.

Following the incident, Sharif urged road users to be cautious and alert when driving because many roads remain in poor condition with potholes.

He said improving road conditions in Silam is part of his agenda if he wins the State Election on Nov 29.

It is a nine-cornered fight in Silam.
