National Data Bank timeline among key topics in Dewan Rakyat on Nov 12

KUALA LUMPUR: The development of the National Data Bank and its implementation timeline will be key topics of discussion during the oral question and answer session in the Dewan Rakyat on Wednesday (Nov 12).

According to the Order of Business on the official Parliament website, Datuk Dr Ku Abd Rahman (PN-Kubang Pasu) would query the Digital Minister on the data bank's development timeline and expected operational date.

He would further inquire about the protocols to be implemented to ensure the system's data quality, security, privacy and interoperability.

Meanwhile, Datuk Seri Hasni Mohammad (BN-Simpang Renggam) would ask the Communications Minister regarding measures that would be taken to defend the government's image, which was purportedly being undermined by media outlets allegedly disparaging leaders and the administration.

Also drawing attention was a question from Chong Chieng Jen (PH-Stampin) to the Finance Minister concerning diesel sales.

He would be asking whether there has been a reduction in diesel sales in Peninsular Malaysia and the amount of savings achieved by the government following the implementation of the diesel subsidy rationalisation since June 2024.

Following the question and answer session, the Dewan Rakyat would resume its committee stage debate on the Supply (Budget) Bill 2026.

The Third Meeting of the Fourth Session of the 15th Parliament is scheduled to run for 35 days, concluding on Dec 4. – Bernama
