KOTA KINABALU: Datuk Ewon Benedick says he tendered his resignation as Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Minister on Monday (Nov 10) morning.
"I have also started to clear my remaining leave from today," he said on Facebook.

The Upko president said he would also chair a special party supreme council meeting to discuss the "Sabah First" agenda, which has always been the basis of its political struggle.
This is also spelled out in the Upko constitution, Benedick said.
His decision came after he said recently that he would quit the federal Cabinet if Putrajaya decides to appeal the October High Court ruling affirming Sabah’s right to 40% of net revenue derived from the state.

Earlier, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said Ewon had acted too early in announcing his plan to resign from the Cabinet.
He said the government had not decided whether or not to appeal the High Court ruling, adding that the matter was still under internal review.
