Sabah polls: PKR candidates sign loyalty pledge, RM10mil bond

KOTA KINABALU: All 10 PKR candidates chosen to contest in the 17th Sabah Election have signed loyalty pledges, says Datuk Dr Fuziah Salleh (pic).

The PKR secretary-general said the pledges are backed by RM10mil bonds should the candidates betray the party.

"May the candidates have 100% commitment to the party, voters and constituencies they represent to fulfil the duties entrusted to them till they succeed in forming a new state government," she said in a statement on Sunday (Nov 9) night.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, in his capacity as Pakatan Harapan chairman and PKR president, earlier introduced the 10 candidates in an event here on Sunday night.

Anwar also said Pakatan would contest 23 out of 73 state seats in the Sabah elections. – Bernama
