Sabah polls: Anwar names 10 PKR candidates, says Pakatan will contest 23 seats

KOTA KINABALU: Sabah PKR has named 10 seats it will contest in the 17th Sabah Election.

The seats are Api-Api, Sindumin, Merotai, Melalap, Karamunting, Inanam, Tulid, Gum-Gum, Segama and Petagas.

Pakatan Harapan chairman and PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said the coalition would contest about 23 seats – not with the intention of forming the next Sabah government but to work closely with Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) and Barisan Nasional to have stronger representation in the federal government.

Anwar also reminded all coalition parties that they must contest under the Pakatan logo.

The 10 PKR candidates are:

Thonny Chee (Api-Api)

Datuk Yamani Hafez Musa (Sindumin)

Datuk Ruji Ubi (Merotai)

Datuk Jamawi Jaafar (Melalap)
