PM Anwar to hold briefing, discuss Cabinet reshuffle on Nov 11, says Mat Sabu

SHAH ALAM: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim will hold a briefing with the Cabinet on Tuesday (Nov 11) to discuss a Cabinet reshuffle, says Amanah president Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu (pic).

He said the Prime Minister is also expected to provide an explanation about the resignation of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Minister Datuk Ewon Benedick.

‎‎"I heard through the news (about Ewon's resignation), but there is a Cabinet meeting on Tuesday and we will listen to an explanation from the Prime Minister.

‎‎"We will also discuss it (the Cabinet reshuffle), so I don't want to comment anything about the matter," he said when met at the wind up session of the 2025 Amanah National Convention here on Sunday.

When asked, he also said Ewon's resignation would not have any effect on Pakatan Harapan in the upcoming 17th Sabah Election.

Ewon announced his resignation on Saturday (Nov 8), citing his principles and stand relating to Sabah's entitlement to 40% of federal revenue collected from the state. – Bernama
