KTMB: KTM Komuter train overshoot cleared, services at Butterworth Station resume


BUTTERWORTH: The operation to clear the six-car Komuter train set (SCS03) that had overshot the track at Platform 4, Butterworth Station, on Saturday (Nov 8) morning, has been completed.

Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) said passenger train services resumed at 7.51pm on Saturday following the completion of recovery work.

"KTMB extends its appreciation to all passengers for their patience, cooperation, and understanding throughout the recovery process.

"KTMB remains committed to improving service quality and ensuring that passenger safety and comfort are always our top priorities,” the company said in a statement.

On Saturday, KTMB clarified that the train involved in the incident was not carrying passengers and was undergoing routine daily operations.

No injuries or casualties were reported.

According to KTMB, further investigations are underway to determine the cause of the incident, and updates will be issued in due course.- Bernama
