Couple slammed for washing child at drinking fountain

THE act of a young couple caught washing their child’s buttocks at a drinking fountain in Shanghai Disneyland has caused an uproar online, Sin Chew Daily reported.

During a visit to the toilet, a woman noticed a child being placed on top of a drinking fountain.

Despite a sign saying that the water was only for drinking, the couple were seen using it to clean their child’s soiled buttocks.

The woman confronted the couple, but they ignored her and hurried away.

“I’m really worried now if someone drinks from the fountain. It’s so disgusting,” she wrote online.

Her post sparked a wave of online criticism against the parents. Many pointed out that they could have just used the toilet behind the fountain to clean up their child.

“They (the parents) really need to attend a course on civic-mindedness and culture,” one social media user said.

Shanghai Disneyland said it has yet to receive a report on the incident.

> A dog resembling a wolf, caused panic among residents in China’s Heilongjiang province and even sparked a hunt for the animal, China Press reported.

However, experts who viewed video footage of the animal said it was not a wolf.

They identified the animal as a Czechoslovakian Wolfdog, a crossbreed of a German Shepherd dog and a Carpathian grey wolf.

The police confirmed that the dog has since been located and has not harmed anyone.

> The daily also reported that a popular Chinese mukbang streamer with over a million online followers announced that he has undergone bariatric surgery for health reasons.

Mukbang involves an online host eating large quantities of food while interacting with an audience.

Shenyang Shan Pang (which translates to Shenyang’s Mountain Fatty) previously weighed around 175kg.

In a recent video, he said he lost over 10kg in just three days after surgery and that his goal is to slim down to around 75kg.
