Serdang murder probe: Cops arrest fifth suspect, get five-day remand


SERDANG: Investigations into the murder of a woman who was found dead with her hands tied has led to one more arrest.

Serdang OCPD Asst Comm Muhamad Farid Ahmad confirmed the arrest, adding that the fifth suspect had been remanded for five days, until Nov 10.

The previously arrested suspects have also had their remands extended, until Nov 7 and Nov 8, respectively.

“The exact cause of death is still pending results of a laboratory report. The motive behind the murder is also still under investigation,” he said.

On Oct 29, the dead victim was found naked with her hands tied near the Blue Water Estate roundabout in Seri Kembangan.
