Anwar thanks Brunei Sultan for concern, well-wishes

KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim on Tuesday (Nov 4) expressed his gratitude to Sultan of Brunei, Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah, for his concern and well-wishes.

In a Facebook post, Anwar said His Majesty had graciously contacted him earlier to inquire about his health and to offer prayers for his well-being.

"His Majesty kindly asked about my condition and prayed for my health and continued well-being. I am deeply grateful for His Majesty’s concern and prayers," Anwar wrote.

The Prime Minister also prayed that Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah be blessed with good health and remain under Allah’s protection and grace.

Last Sunday (Nov 2), Anwar was reported to have cancelled a scheduled working visit to Pahang at the last minute on medical advice after experiencing back pain that limited his movement. - Bernama
