KUALA LUMPUR: OSK Foundation, the philanthropic arm of OSK Group, continues its commitment to giving back to the community through its signature programme, Gifts of Hope.

Established to unite employees in volunteerism, the initiative brings together employees from across all OSK Group business units — to extend care and support to communities in need during the festive season.

This year, the Gifts of Hope initiative was carried out group-wide, reaching homes and welfare organisations across several states including Penang, Melaka, Seremban, Kedah, and Pahang.

With a total contribution of RM24,800, each participating business unit identified local beneficiaries and delivered items based on their specific needs, including electronic appliances, mattresses, food items and token sums for residents and caretakers.

Among the beneficiaries were:

> Pusat Jagaan Anneiyin Karunai Illam, Kuala Lumpur

> SHAN Children’s Home, Penang

> Sri Ramakrishna Ashram, Melaka

> Sri Ragavendra Welfare Home, Seremban

> Gurunatha Aasramam, Sungai Petani, Kedah

> Malaysian Indian Youth Council (MIYC), Kuantan, Pahang

Over the years, the programme has grown into a cornerstone of OSK Foundation’s community outreach, touching more lives and fostering lasting impact across Malaysia.

This year’s effort saw employees bringing festive warmth and joy to underprivileged children, families and senior citizens, particularly in conjunction with the Deepavali celebration.

“Deepavali is a time of light, joy, and togetherness — and through Gifts of Hope, we’re reminded that giving doesn’t have to be grand to be meaningful. What matters most is the heart behind it.

“Seeing our colleagues across OSK come together to bring warmth and kindness to others is truly special. It’s a small gesture, but one that reflects who we are as a family — caring united and always ready to lend a helping hand,” said OSK Foundation chief executive officer Cheryl Ong.

This programme reflects OSK Foundation’s ongoing mission to support communities and bring positive change to lives across Malaysia. By involving employees from all business units, we continue to nurture a culture of compassion and volunteerism within the OSK Group.
