THE daughter of entrepreneur Datuk Seri Hasmiza Othman, popularly known as Datuk Vida, has come out in defence of her following viral news of their luxury items being auctioned, Sinar Harian reported.
In a livestream, Nur Edlynn Zamileen Muhammad Amin, fondly known as Cik B, said the public should not ridicule or assume that her family had fallen into poverty.
She said her mother remained resilient and self-reliant.
“It is not right to say we are poor or have no money. My mum is strong. She is a single mother who has worked hard all her life.
“People can say whatever they want, but she still stands on her own,” said Nur Edlynn Zamileen.
She said Hasmiza’s current predicament began from a stalled studio construction project dating back to 2018, involving disputes between the main contractor and subcontractors.
“Many people have taken advantage of her – friends, workers, everyone. I feel sorry for her,” she said.
Nur Edlynn Zamileen said despite facing emotional and financial pressure, her mother remains determined to stay strong and move forward.
> Despite past relationships that ended in heartbreak, actress-entrepreneur Nora Danish says she has never regretted her romantic experiences, Harian Metro reported.
The 43-year-old, whose full name is Nora Mohd Danish Hanif, believes failed relationships are not losses but valuable lessons that helped her grow and better understand life.
“I have never regretted love. Every relationship, good or bad, is part of my life’s journey. I’ve learned something from each of them,” she said.
The mother of two hopes to remarry when the time is right.
“Of course I still want to marry again, to have a partner who shares the same spiritual path.
“Life alone can be tiring, but I leave everything to God,” she said.
Addressing rumours linking her to financial consultant Mickey Ayo, Nora said the 10-year age gap was never an issue.
“He’s fun, makes me laugh and even shares ideas for my business,” she said, adding that they are currently focusing on their careers.
