KUALA LUMPUR: Indera Mahkota Member of Parliament, Datuk Seri Saifuddin Abdullah, has been summoned by the Bersatu disciplinary board for an investigation into allegations of involvement in a movement to topple its President, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.

Saifuddin explained that he would meet the disciplinary board at 2pm this Thursday (Nov 6).

The investigation process with the disciplinary board will be held at Bersatu headquarters in Petaling Jaya.

"At approximately 1.52pm on Sunday (Oct 2), I received a notice for me to attend a meeting with the disciplinary board committee members on Nov 6 at 4.30pm in Petaling Jaya.

"Because I had a program outside Kuala Lumpur in the evening on that date, I asked for the session to be brought forward and the disciplinary board agreed to change it to 2pm," he said when contacted by Astro Awani on Sunday (Nov 2).

Saifuddin and Perlis Menteri Besar, Mohd Shukri Ramli, were each removed from their positions as Perikatan Nasional chairman for Pahang and Perlis on October 27, 2025.

Last Thursday (Oct 30), three Bersatu division chiefs were summoned to the disciplinary board regarding allegations of involvement in a movement to topple Muhyiddin, who is also the chairman of Perikatan.

Bersatu east Ipoh division chief, Mohd Fadhli Ismail, who confirmed the matter, said they consisted of Sungai Tiang State Assemblyman (ADUN), Abdul Razak Khamis; Sepang Division Chief, Datuk Mohd Suhaimi Ghazali and Puchong Division Chief, Mohd Shukor Mustafa.

In mid-October, the Bersatu Disciplinary Board expelled Tasek Gelugor MP Datuk Wan Saiful Wan Jan and suspended the membership of Machang MP Wan Ahmad Fayhsal Wan Ahmad Kamal.

At the same time, three Bersatu division leaders were also sacked, namely Azrudin Md Idris (Hang Tuah Jaya), Mohd Faizal Asmar (Pengerang) and Mohd Isa Mohd Saidi (Ampang).
