President Prabowo wraps up Asean Summit attendance in Kuala Lumpur


KUALA LUMPUR: Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto returned to Indonesia on Monday (Oct 27) after attending the 47th Asean Summit and Related Summits held in Kuala Lumpur.

The summit was set to conclude on Tuesday (Oct 28).

Defence Minister Datuk Seri Khaled Nordin, who accompanied the Indonesian President to the Subang airbase, confirmed this in a Facebook post on Monday.

“President Prabowo’s presence reflects Asean's spirit of togetherness in strengthening regional unity and promoting the peace agenda for shared prosperity,” said Khaled.

“Safe travels to Indonesia, Bapak Presiden,” he added.

Asean leaders are gathered in Kuala Lumpur for this high-level meeting of the regional bloc.
