Canada, Malaysia strengthen energy ties: Key investments discussed in bilateral meeting


KUALA LUMPUR: Discussions on investments in liquefied natural gas, oil, nuclear, and renewable energy took place during the bilateral meeting between Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney here on Monday (Oct 27).

“Prime Minister (Carney) thanked the Prime Minister of Malaysia for his leadership as ASEAN Chair for 2025 and discussed the Letter of Intent signed between Canada and Malaysia to deepen investment in liquefied natural gas, oil, nuclear, and renewable energy,” the Canadian government said in a statement after Carney attended the 47th Asean Summit and Related Summits.
