Cops nab man in Kluang, seize 20 packets of ecstasy


KLUANG: The police have seized over RM12,000 worth of drugs following the arrest of a 29-year-old man here.

Kluang OCPD Asst Comm Bahrin Mohd Noh said the suspect was arrested around midnight on Wednesday (Oct 22) at Taman Sam Hoe.

“Checks during the arrest led to the discovery of 20 packets of powder believed to be ecstasy.

“The drugs seized, weighing about 1,090g, are estimated to be worth RM12,050,” he said in a statement here.

The suspect, who has 11 prior records involving drugs, is being remanded for seven days starting from Wednesday (Oct 22).

“The suspect also tested positive for methamphetamine,” said ACP Bahrin, adding that the case is being investigated under Section 39B and Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act.
