Woman escapes injury after tree branch falls on car in Bukit Mertajam


BUKIT MERTAJAM: A woman escaped injuries when a large tree branch fell on the car she was travelling in along Jalan Medan, here on Monday (Oct 20) night.

A State Fire and Rescue Department spokesman said the tree branch fell directly onto the car driven by the 31-year-old victim.

"Luckily, there was no damage to the car, and the driver was safe," he said in a statement on Tuesday (Oct 21).

He said an operation team from Bandar Perda fire station carried out cutting and clearing work to remove the fallen tree branch. He added that after confirming that the situation at the scene was safe, the operation ended at 11.41pm.
