Two killed as car plunges into ravine in Kajang


KUALA LUMPUR: Two individuals, including a 16-year-old teenager, were killed when the car they were travelling in skidded and plunged into a ravine at KM 301.2 of the Kuala Lumpur-Seremban Highway, near Kajang, early Friday (Oct 10) morning.

Kajang OCPD Asst Comm Naazron Abdul Yusof said a report on the incident was received at 1.45am.

Investigations revealed that the car carrying four individuals was believed to have gone out of control before plunging into the ravine.

"Due to the impact, the driver, a 23-year-old private sector employee, and a 16-year-old male passenger were killed at the scene,” he said in a statement on Friday.

ACP Naazron said the other two passengers - a man and a woman in their 20s - sustained injuries to their legs and arms and were taken to Serdang Hospital for treatment.

He urged members of the public who have information related to the incident to contact investigating officer Insp Narolhisyam Endi at 019-589 7115. — Bernama
