Van ploughs into six parked cars at Ipoh Railway Station


IPOH: A van driver has been arrested after his vehicle crashed into six parked cars at the Ipoh Railway Station here.

Ipoh OCPD Asst Comm Abang Zainal Abidin Abang Ahmad said that the incident occurred at 2.55am on Sunday (Oct 5).

"The van driver lost control of the vehicle while turning into a junction and crashed into several parked cars. No injuries were reported," he said in a statement on Tuesday (Oct 7), adding that the driver tested negative for drugs.

He said the case is being investigated under Section 43(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for dangerous driving.

Earlier, videos of the damaged vehicles at the Ipoh Railway Station went viral on social media.
