RM116mil should have been collected in number plate sales, says A-G's Report


PETALING JAYA: The Road Transport Department (JPJ) should have collected an excess of RM115.96mil from the sale of vehicle registration numbers, the Auditor-General’s Report Series 3/2025 reported.

The latest audit found that inactive numbers worth RM112.73mil were not released to the public and approvals worth RM2.41mil were not revoked despite applicants failing to meet conditions.
