Conscience ship nears Gaza, 270 nautical miles left for humanitarian flotilla

PETALING JAYA: The Conscience ship, which is leading the Thousand Madleens to Gaza (TMTG) flotilla, is now reported to be only 270 nautical miles away from Gaza waters.

MyCare Malaysia stated that the ship has 270 nautical miles remaining before the Conscience and the Thousand Madleens flotilla reach Gaza, reported Sinar Harian.

"Please pray and continue to pay attention to this third wave. Wait for us, Gaza!" said MyCare in a statement on its official social media channel on Sunday (Oct 10).

The Freedom Flotilla Coalition is a worldwide effort that unites over 10 humanitarian organisations, including MyCare Malaysia, Ship to Gaza Norway and the International Committee to Break the Siege of Gaza.

Their mission was to demand freedom for the Palestinian people and to end the maritime blockade that prevents access to basic aid, medicine and daily necessities for more than two million Gazans.

The flotilla carried various humanitarian aid items, including food, medicine and medical equipment, which would be distributed to local organisations upon arrival in Gaza.

The Freedom Flotilla's first mission was in 2010, when the Mavi Marmara ship was attacked by Israeli forces in international waters, killing several international activists and sparking global condemnation.
