KOTA KINABALU: Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) prefers to let emotions subside before addressing the exit of Sabah STAR and SAPP from the local coalition amid disagreement over seat sharing with Pakatan Harapan.
"At this point, let's cool down first," GRS secretary-general Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun said on Friday (Oct 3).
"I know elections are important, and all politicians are making preparations, but (I believe) you’ll make better decisions when you cool down."

He said there was a solution to every problem, and any failure to find one was all in the mind.
Asked to comment on GRS' plans following the parties' exit, Masidi said that in Sabah, politicians remain friends even if they do not agree with something.
"In fact, you will be surprised, at the session (when Sabah STAR and SAPP quit the coalition) we talked like friends and when we went back, we continued to be friends.

“You may not agree with each other, but it doesn’t mean you have to be enemies," he stressed.
SAPP and Sabah STAR announced that they were leaving GRS on Wednesday (Oct 1).
GRS leadership, on the other hand, said the two parties' membership was automatically terminated because of their decision to use their own party symbols in the upcoming state election.
Asked if there would be another state Budget before Sabahans cast their votes, Masidi – who is also state Finance Minister – said he felt it should be tabled only after the election.
