Crowds await Selangor crown prince’s wedding procession


KLANG: Crowds are patiently awaiting the royal wedding procession of Selangor Crown Prince Tengku Amir Shah Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah.

People began gathering along the route from the Sultan Abdul Aziz Royal Gallery to Istana Alam Shah from as early as 6.30am.

Tengku Amir, the youngest of three siblings and only son of Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, is set to marry Cik Afzaa Fadini Abdul Aziz in an akad nikah ceremony at about 10am at Istana Alam Shah on Thursday (Oct 2).

The Crown Prince arrived at the gallery after 8am and, following preparations and the recitation of doa, is expected to leave for Istana Alam Shah just before 9.30am for the akad nikah ceremony.

His bride-to-be, Cik Afzaa Fadini, will be waiting for him at the palace while he is brought to the venue in a slow procession.

Details about Cik Afzaa Fadini and the royal nikah portrait will be released by the Selangor palace at about 3pm today.
