PETALING JAYA: The Raja Muda of Selangor, Tengku Amir Shah Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, will get married on Oct 2.

The Crown Prince will wed Afzaa Fadini Abdul Aziz at Masjid Istana Diraja, Istana Alam Shah in Klang, said Datuk Mohamad Munir Bani, the private secretary of Selangor Ruler Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah.

“The royal wedding reception and dinner will be held at Balairung Seri and Balai Santapan Diraja respectively at the palace on Oct 22,” he said in a statement yesterday.

Tengku Amir Shah, 34, is the youngest child and only son of Sultan Sharafuddin.

He was proclaimed as the Raja Muda in May 2002 when he was 11 and officially bestowed the title in 2016.

Mohamad Munir said the Selangor Islamic Religious Department will hold Yasin recitations and prayers at all mosques in the state to bless the wedding and ensure the ceremonies run smoothly on Thursday.

“Sultan Sharafuddin and Tengku Amir Shah will grace the prayer ceremony at Masjid Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah in Shah Alam,” he added.
