KLANG: The Raja Muda of Selangor, Tengku Amir Shah, is now married as his akad nikah has been solemnised with his bride, Cik Afzaa Fadini Abdul Aziz.

Eleven cannon shots were heard after the ceremony, which concluded just after 10am at the mosque of Istana Alam Shah.

The royal bersanding is scheduled to be held at Istana Alam Shah on October 22.

The Selangor palace will release the official portrait of the royal couple and details about Cik Afzaa Fadini Abdul Aziz later on Thursday (Oct 2).

Earlier this morning, the Raja Muda, dressed in a light-coloured baju Melayu, made his way from the Sultan Abdul Aziz Royal Gallery to Istana Alam Shah at about 9am in a grand procession.

The procession was escorted by men carrying symbolic royal regalia such as the royal yellow umbrella, spears, bunga manggar and trays with various items.

A kompang troupe and palace officials also accompanied the procession.
