Student dies after being found unconscious in Senawang school, police probe underway


SEREMBAN: A 10-year-old pupil was found unconscious in school in Senawang near here and later pronounced dead in hospital.

Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek said police should be given space to probe the case.

"While we wait for the outcome of the probe, we will focus on providing emotional support to all students and teachers.

"We will get counsellors to help out in the intervention process tomorrow," she said on Wednesday (Oct 1).

Fadhlina appealed to the public not to speculate on the matter and to give privacy to the deceased pupil's family.

State police chief Deputy Comm Datuk Alzafny Ahmad said police received a called regarding the case around 1.20pm on Wednesday.

He said based on a preliminary probe, the deceased left his classroom around 12.10pm and was later found unconscious.

He was then rushed to the hospital but pronounced dead.
