Over RM1.34mil in undeclared frozen meat seized at Johor port

PETALING JAYA: Over RM1.34mil in undeclared frozen meats has been seized by the Malaysian Border Control and Protection.

The seizures were made between Sept 17 and 24 at the Pasir Gudang port in Johor.

Three containers were seized within that time, containing 27,816kg of pork and 52,992kg of chicken.

"The meat was brought in without import permits and health certificates," the agency said in a statement on Monday (Sept 29).

The agency also stressed that importing any items without the required permits was an offence under the law.
