DESPITE losing his left arm in an accident eight years ago, Ahmad Nabil Rosli, 26, is proof that one can make a living without the need to rely on aid from the Welfare Department.

Ahmad, the third child out of six siblings, works as a delivery rider and does not find it awkward steering his motorcycle with just one arm when making deliveries.

Ahmad, who lost his arm in an accident on May 14, 2017, makes more than 30 deliveries a day.

“I was lucky to be thrown off the burning motorcycle instead of being dragged with it.

“Nevertheless, my pulse stopped for almost half an hour, and I had lost a lot of blood. I had to be given 30 packs of blood as replacement,” he told Kosmo! Ahad when met at Kerteh, Terengganu.

After the incident, Ahmad said his will to live faded, but his parents encouraged him not to give up.

“I began to realise that Allah had given me a second chance in life and it should not be wasted.

“Five months later, I came out of it, and worked at an eatery before becoming a delivery rider in 2021,” he added.

Ahmad expressed his hesitation to use a prosthetic arm, as he explained that it exacerbated pain in his neck, a condition he had sustained from a previous injury.

> An entertainment writer for Mingguan Malaysia, who goes by the name Cik Bunga, claims that a local artiste who was cast in a drama had appeared in a pornographic video.

The writer said that the claims are more than mere gossip, as some in the industry had already seen the video, which can be found on a social media platform which was not named.

Cik Bunga, however, has not viewed the video, saying that she has no intentions of doing so, as it would be a sin.

The writer expressed surprise that the artiste had not considered the potential consequences, including the possibility of the video being sold on the black market as an alternative source of income.

Cik Bunga also questioned the action of a mainstream director who hired the artiste, despite knowing of the individual’s link to the video.

The writer raised the question of whether the decision to hire the artiste was intended to enhance the drama’s appeal.
