SHAH ALAM: A total of RM67mil has been approved by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim so far for various small projects and public infrastructure in Selangor this year.
Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari said the allocation covered four projects, including the Mesra Rakyat Project, with a RM44mil allocation ceiling, and the Public/Basic Infrastructure Project (Pintar), with a ceiling of RM4.5mil.
"Two more projects are the Madani Infrastructure Project (Prisma) and Prisma MOF, with allocation ceilings of RM6.5mil and RM12mil, respectively," he said in his speech at the Indent Job Offer Letter Handover ceremony at the Official Residence of the Selangor Mentri Besar here on Friday (Sept 12).
Elaborating, Amirudin said all the projects were implemented to complete the Five-Year Development Plan (RMLT) and to enhance the government's image through projects that addressed the needs of the people.
"It also aims to provide basic facilities and infrastructure, demonstrating the government's concern for the challenges faced by the people," he said.
At the same ceremony, Amirudin also presented laptops and certificates of appreciation to 22 top-performing Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) 2024 students and to one Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) 2024 student who achieved a cumulative grade point average of 4.00.
He said the contribution through the Sejahtera Madani-Pendidikan: Bantuan Peranti Madani was an initiative by the Implementation Coordination Unit of the Prime Minister's Department in collaboration with Bank Muamalat Malaysia Berhad. – Bernama
