King presents instruments of appointment to seven envoys


KUALA LUMPUR: His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, presented instruments of appointment to seven Malaysian envoys assigned to missions abroad and also received the letters of credence from seven foreign envoys to Malaysia at Istana Negara here on Thursday (Sept 4).

The seven envoys who received their instruments of appointment from His Majesty are Malaysian Ambassador to Thailand, Datuk Wan Zaidi Wan Abdullah; Malaysian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Datuk Syed Mohamad Bakri Syed Abdul Rahman; and Malaysian High Commissioner to South Africa, Datuk Yubazlan Yusof.

Also receiving the instruments are Malaysian Ambassador to Brazil, Datuk Mohammad Ali Selamat; Malaysian Ambassador to Germany, Mohamad Razdan Jamil; Malaysian Ambassador to Spain, Haznah Md Hashim; and Malaysian Ambassador to Poland, Datuk Azri Mat Yacob.

His Majesty also accepted the credentials of seven foreign envoys to Malaysia - Karim Mohamed Elsadat Abdelkarim Abdelkhalek of Egypt, Silke Riecken-Daerr of Germany, Daniella Ortega de Paiva Menezes of Brazil, Gerhad Eisl of Austria, Hennadii Nadolenko of Ukraine, Marianne Fosland of Norway and Raffaele Langella of Italy.

Also present at the event were Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan, Foreign Ministry secretary-general Datuk Seri Amran Mohamed Zin and the Comptroller of the Royal Household of Istana Negara Tan Sri Dr Azmi Rohani. - Bernama
