Factory fire engulfs Taman Perindustrian Batu Caves premises


GOMBAK: A furniture factory in Taman Perindustrian Batu Caves was engulfed in flames on Saturday (Aug 30).

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant director Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar said a distress call was received at about 8.48 am.

"Thirty-one firemen from six fire stations were deployed to the scene. The factory was already 80% ablaze. The operation to extinguish the fire is ongoing," he said in a statement.

He added that no injuries have been reported so far.
